Principal's Message

Kimberly Creighton, Principal

St. David's Primary 2002-2010

Change can be difficult, but it is inevitable.  We must remember…If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies.  ~Author Unknown

Time is a precious commodity that should be appreciated by all as it passes by so very quickly. The time is fast approaching for me to transition from principal of St. David’s Primary to principal of Elliot Primary, where I began my teaching career 22 years ago. I find it difficult to believe that it has been eight years since I was appointed as the principal of St. David’s Primary School. It seems just like yesterday that I joined the St. David’s Primary School family, but now it is time to bid all of you farewell.

Leaving St. David’s Primary School will be difficult, and I am sad to be leaving. When I was appointed principal here, I did not realize how connected I would become to such a warm community of people. We have had great success at the school as well as our share of challenges. However, even with the challenges and obstacles that we have had to overcome, I can honestly say that I have enjoyed my time serving the community of St. David’s. My life has certainly been enriched by this experience, and I have many, many fond memories of my time at the school, which I will cherish for years to come.

I leave St. David’s Primary with great confidence in the people here, knowing that they are capable of overcoming any hurdles that will come up, singularly, and more importantly, together. The team here is a very competent and practical group that will continue to provide an excellent education for all students in a caring environment. This provides me with a sense of pride and gratitude that is indescribable.

My hope is that all of you will embrace the newly appointed principal, Mr. Gladstone Thompson, and will support him in the same manner that you have supported me. I am looking forward to continuing to hear great things about St. David’s Primary!

I would like to thank all of you for your support, encouragement, and well wishes during my tenure as principal. I have appreciated all of you and will truly miss everyone! Please pray for me as I continue to serve Bermuda’s children.

Wishing all of you God's richest blessings!

Ms. Kimberly Creighton
